The PDC is located in the Highland development and now serves 1,000 city employees, in addition to functioning as additional public civic space open for use. The City of Austin purchased the building from RedLeaf and Ryan Companies upon completion, which saved the city an estimated $30 million and two years of construction time if they had chosen a more traditional process of developing a municipal facility.
